Meet Rusty – Your Adventure Buddy with the World’s Longest Tongue!

Looking for a fun-loving, athletic sidekick who’s equal parts goofball and loyal protector? Rusty is your guy! At 7 years young and about 60 lbs., this handsome, playful boy still has plenty of pep in his step. Frisbee? Agility? Snow zoomies? He’s ready when you are!

Rusty is obedience trained, house trained, and crate trained — a smart cookie who even picks up his own leash and waits by the door when he’s ready for an outing. (Yes, really. Check out his video!) He loves car rides, especially in a truck or Jeep, and in the summer you’ll find him happily splashing in a doggie pool — bonus points if you toss in some ice. In winter? Snow is his playground.

We think he may be a Black Mouth Cur mix, possibly with some Rhodesian Ridgeback, but what we know for sure is that he’s 100% lovable. His long tongue was clearly designed for enthusiastic kisses!

Rusty adores people and does well with kids, but because of his joyful enthusiasm and strength, he’d do best in a home without very young children he might accidentally knock over. He is naturally protective of his home (he once even helped stop a robbery — what a hero!), so he’ll need a space to relax when new visitors arrive.

Rusty is sweet, loyal, smart, and endlessly entertaining. He’s the kind of dog who will make you laugh daily and stand faithfully by your side. All he needs now is a forever family to share life’s adventures with.
