Meet Maisie ❤️

Maisie has been waiting far too long for the right home — not because of who she is, but because of the circumstances she’s been through. After multiple failed adoptions through no fault of her own, this resilient girl is still as loving, loyal, and hopeful as ever.

At around 6-7 years old and just over 60 lbs, Maisie is a beautiful mixed breed with a heart that belongs fully to her people. She absolutely adores humans — adults, kids, anyone willing to give her attention. If you’re looking for a dog who will truly be your companion, Maisie is ready to fill that role completely.

She’s also incredibly well-trained. Maisie is a graduate of our prison training program and knows an impressive list of commands including heel, sit, down, shake, and even high five. She has great manners in the home — house trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash. She’s the kind of dog who already knows how to be a wonderful member of the family.

Maisie has a playful side too. She loves toys of all kinds, especially balls, and will happily play fetch until you call for a break. On walks, she prances along with a happy, confident energy that’s contagious. And when playtime is over? She’s more than content to settle in for belly rubs and relax right by your feet.

Because of her past experiences, Maisie would do best in a home where she can be the only dog or with very experienced, thoughtful introductions and management. What we do know for sure is that her bond with people is where she truly shines.

Maisie has been through more than her share, but she hasn’t let it change her sweet, affectionate nature. What she needs now is a stable, loving home that will finally give her the consistency and care she deserves.
