Finn

Hound Mix

a year, Male, Medium

Meet Finn, a young boy about 17 months old and already a star at our Prison Obedience program.  Finn came to Canine Collective with his brother Huck and they had lots of fun acting like teens. Off they went to obedience school to learn manners and to be good dawgs.  This former "wild child" excelled in this structured program and his handler/trainers are raving about this very good boy.  They think he would make an amazing companion.  He is very friendly and we are guessing he may have some hound or boxer, but he is 100% good boy.  We think he is about 50 lbs.

His handlers at the North Central obedience program said this about Finn:  Finn is very well tempered and loves to please his owner. He knows a wide variety of tricks from his basic commands (Sit, stay, heal, lay down,) to playing dead and rolling over. He loves being outside and cuddling up. He can be a bit skittish around a lot of new people at once but he warms up to people rather quickly. He is very smart and eager to learn new tricks. If given time, he would be able to learn just about anything you teach him. He is currently learning how to grab a can of pop and bring it back on command.   We are sure he can be taught to switch from pop to beer if that is your desire!  Finn is personally the sweetest according to his handler and those at the prison who have come in contact with him. We are confident he would be an amazing addition to any family!

Finn's brother Huck did well  at the prison obedience program also and got adopted and now Huck wants his home!  If you're looking for a trained young dog who is very smart and loving and has a good temperament, apply for Finn at www.caninecollective.org.
