WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care.
Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.
NAME: Beaker
BREED: French Bulldog
DOB: Oct 2, 2024 (6 months)
Home Recommendation: Beaker is looking for a family that will be home more often than not to help him with his basic puppy skills and training. He is a friendly and fun-loving pup who will do great with a family who is ready to train, play, and cuddle.
Medical: Beaker came to WISE with hematoma in his ear. It will require monitoring and frequent cleanings, but does not require surgery at this time.
Personality: Beaker loves to hang out with his dog friends, play, and chill on the couch. He is the ultimate cuddle bug and is happiest when laying in your lap. He loves to be with his people and soak up all your attention! He is a goofball and will always bring a smile to your face.
KIDS: Yes, he does great with kids of all ages
DOGS: Yes
CATS: Unknown
TRAINING: He is working on his potty training, and sleeps in his crate at night. He would love a family who can work with him on more commands and tricks and help him get his energy out with playing and games.
WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Puppy mills overbreed to the point where they produce more dogs than they can sell. Beaker was rejected due to having hematoma in his ear. It will require monitoring and frequent cleanings, but does not require surgery at this time. When the dogs are not sold, the puppy mills destroy them, and it is legal to do so. WISE has recently partnered with a group to save these unwanted dogs - healthy, unhealthy, and/or with birth defects - who are destined to be killed for no reason.
