WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care.

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

BREED: Pit bull mix

DOB: November 17, 2024

Home Recommendation: Statler is an easy-going boy who would love to go to a home where he can join on all the family activities. He does great with kids and other dogs. 

Personality: Statler is a big pleaser with a calm and loving demeanor. While he’s a typical puppy with playful energy, he’s also quick to learn and loves to cuddle once he’s had his fill of playtime. His treat motivation makes training fun and effective. He is very well balanced and loves playtime but will quickly settle down for cuddles.

KIDS: Yes, he would be great with kids.

CATS: Yes

TRAINING: Statler’s eagerness to please and treat motivation make him a joy to train. He’s improving with potty training and is ready to learn more with consistent reinforcement from a dedicated family. He sleeps well in his crate. He will need practice with his leash walking skills, but will get the hang of it quickly!

WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE:  Statler and his siblings were found in a rural area down south and WISE was asked to help by good samaritans. They are now in foster homes and can't wait to find their forever homes!
