Izzi has dealt with a lot of changes in her life, causing her to be a bit wary of new people. Once she gets past the first meeting jitters, she melts into the sweetest girl who just wants to be your best friend. Izzi can also be nervous when meeting new dogs, but does well with dogs that are her size or smaller once she gets to know them. In her foster home, she lives with five other dogs of various sizes, but has one who is her play buddy (she mostly ignores the rest). She is protective of her food and will grumble at other pups if they come too close while she’s eating. Izzi would probably become her best self as the only dog or with one other dog in the home who likes to play. She loves to be outside watching the squirrels, but her favorite place is next to you on the couch with her head in your lap. Izzi does great on a leash and loves her walks. She is housebroken, crate trained, and rides well in a car. This sweet girl deserves a chance – she just needs someone who is patient with her and will help her to be more trusting.
