Huckleberry

Yorkshire Terrier

2 months, Male, Extra Small

WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care.

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

NAME: Huckleberry

BREED: Yorkie

DOB: 2/5/25**Will be ready to go home after 4/4**

Home Recommendation: Since Huckleberry is a young puppy, he will need a family that is home often to continue his training and socialization. He would benefit from having another dog or regular doggy friends to help show him the ropes.

Personality: Huckleberry is the ultimate cuddlebug! He is always on the lookout for a warm lap to snuggle into and loves being close to his people. While he’s happiest in your arms, he also has a curious side and enjoys exploring new places. Whether he’s curled up for a nap or investigating his surroundings, this little guy is full of love and charm.

KIDS: 6+ due to his small size

DOGS: Yes

CATS: Yes

TRAINING: He is learning how to walk on a leash and will need continued practice. He is not yet house-trained. He currently sleeps in a crate at night.

WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Huckleberry's mom was pregnant when her owners sought help from WISE. Huckleberry and his siblings were safely delivered and are now ready to find their forever homes!
