Chihuahua

Domestic Shorthair

3 months, Female, Medium

"Yo Quiero Kitty Cat?" Meet Chihuahua! the mini kitten who made it through the wars. At just 12 weeks old, this little tuxedo girl has already lived a whole saga of resilience-thanks to Meow Village and a Foster Mom who refused to give up on her, this tiny fighter made it. Rescued from a heartbreaking eviction situation with her mom and siblings, Chihuahua came into rescue barely hanging on by a thread. She was weak, bald in patches, covered in fleas and mites, congested, wormy, and struggling to eat…She had the whole enchilada of hurt (but she did extra beans as in extra toes!). She refused to give up, even when she couldn't smell her food, she’d nudge it, nibble at it, and try again. Her will to live was powerful fierce and now, her will to snuggle, purr, and nap late into the morning is just as strong.

Chihuahua will always be a pocket-sized, polydactyl, purr machine, with her short little legs, a dainty body, and the kind of face that melts hearts on-sight. She’s not much for early mornings, so if you like to ease into your day, Chihuahua’s your spirit animal as she will wait patiently (and adorably) until your second cup of coffee is brewed, before she requests cuddles. Her meow is soft as a whisper, and her purr is a full-volume Canciones de Amor (love song).

Chihuahua has been exposed to dogs and seems to carry herself with an honorary canine status, due to her name. Totally unbothered and low-key chill, she is very much “one of the bow-wow crew.” Her perfect home would include a young cat or even one of her siblings, because Chihuahua thrives when she has a buddy to curl up with and quietly supervise the world together.

If you’re ready to give a second chance to a first-class lass, Chihuahua is waiting. And she’s bringing a whole menu of awesome with her. Reach out to Foster mom Tamara at Tamarad@meowvillage.org for details.

NOTE: Meow Village is an all foster based rescue, so any questions and inquiries related to the kitties should be directed to their foster families. Thank you!
