Sancho

Chihuahua

a year, Male, Extra Small

Sancho was part of a group of Chihuahuas who came to us after their owner passed away. Sancho is one of the smallest and is quite possibly the sweetest of the group!  When he arrived he was in a pretty neglected state and is still growing back his coat from a bad flea infestations.  Currently fostering with Chico and Jose, Sancho was a little slow to overcome his natural chihuahua behaviors.  At first he hid in his safe place (his bed) and would run whenever approached.  After a few weeks, he is now a social energetic little guy who loves to play with his fosters and with his human.  Sancho has done pretty well with house training, although a belly band might be needed until he learns the schedule in his new home.  Sancho loves to be a lapdog, but also has a very playful nature.  While we don't believe that Chico and Sancho are bonded, they do enjoy playing together and find comfort in each other's presence.  Being adopted into a home with an existing dog would probably be helpful for Sancho to adapt quicker.  A securely fenced yard is a requirement to adopt this young man.
