Meet CJ!

CJ is a playful, energetic big boy with a heart full of love and a personality that can’t be ignored. He’s a little silly, a lot charming, and always ready to make you smile.

At about 2 years old and weighing 70 lbs, CJ is a mixed breed with a soft, medium-length coat. We’ve had guesses ranging from Dalmatian to bully breed, Great Dane, and Great Pyrenees—but only a DNA test could give us a definitive answer. Either way, his most noticeable feature might just be the adorable eyebrow over his left eye, giving him even more personality.

CJ is a toy lover and game enthusiast, and he’s eager to please when treats are involved—he already knows “sit”! He’s friendly and curious with people and gets along well with other dogs. If you have a dog at home, a meet-and-greet is recommended to make sure their playstyles match.

CJ recently graduated from our North Central Correctional Institute obedience program, showing just how smart and trainable he is. In fact, an experienced volunteer took him out for extra leash practice, and within minutes, he was walking perfectly by her side!

This sweet, fun-loving boy would thrive with someone who loves an active dog with a big heart. CJ is ready to be your loyal companion and partner in play!
