Grizzly- The Adventure Bestie You Didn’t Know You Needed

Grizzly is a 7-year-old neutered 85-pound male Berner mix who came to us after his previous owner passed away. He may be 7 years old, but you would never know it! He is an on-the-go guy who can go with the flow and would love to be by your side.

Do you like to walk 1-2 times a day, visit new places but also just chill at home in between adventures? So does Grizzly! We believe Griz was a faithful companion to his previous owner and he is looking for his second forever friend in life. Read on to find out more about this sweet guy.

More about Grizzly:

- He LOVES walks and running around in the yard. A fenced yard would be ideal but not a requirement. Grizzly does best when given consistent exercise like walking or playing in the yard.

-  Did someone say SQUIRREL?! Griz is still learning and will need some training . He is still learning boundaries but he is getting better every day! His new family will need to continue with his training. He already knows how to give high fives!

- Grizzly likes his crate and does just fine being left at home for a few hours at a time. He can likely occasionally be left home alone for up to 6-8 hours, but wants to be near his people when they are home.

- He would do fine as an only dog or with an older calmer dog. He prefers to be near his person- just chilling in the same room. He can get grumbly when meeting dogs while on his leash. He has not been around cats.

- Grizzly would probably do best with older children since he is still figuring things out. He is big and quick to give kisses. He can get excited and not realize where his body is.

- He is the bestest boy who loves a good bone and has lots of love to give! He will hug your arm and put his head on your chest when cuddling on the couch.

Grizzly is neutered and up to date on vaccines. He is being fostered near Ann Arbor, MI. You will need to travel there to meet him and also to adopt him.

We are an all volunteer rescue and do our best to get through applications in a timely manner. It may take up to 3 weeks to notify applicants.
