WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. 

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

HOME RECOMMENDATION: Diesel Dually is searching for a home where his new family will patiently help him build confidence and let his personality pop! With love and understanding, he’ll reward you with endless joy and devotion. This sweet boy has such a gentle soul and just needs a little time to feel safe and settle into new surroundings. Once he’s comfortable, his playful side really shines—he absolutely loves playing fetch and gets so excited for his daily walks! With a bit of patience and a lot of love, he’ll make an incredibly loyal and loving companion.

PERSONALITY: Diesel loves to cuddle with his favorite blanket and toys. This sweet guy has settled in wonderfully to home life! During mealtimes, he happily hangs out in his crate with his favorite toys! During the day he explores his surroundings and gets along great with the other dogs. This sweet boy is a gentle soul who just needs a little time and patience to build trust. He does a great job of communicating when he’s feeling unsure or needs space, and once he starts to feel safe, his affectionate side really starts to shine! He currently lives with kids and other dogs and has even started showing some curiosity about playing. He’s making steady progress and showing more confidence each day.

TRAINING: Diesel Dually is great about doing his business quickly and then enjoys taking in the sights around him, just strolling and observing the world. He goes outside every 4–6 hours and has done really well with his potty routine. As for mealtime, he can be a little picky, but he’s adjusting well to his dog food. He’s a bit of a foodie! He’s got some favorites too—apple slices, bananas, and bedtime treats!  Once he’s comfortable, he’s an absolute cuddlebug who loves to snuggle in close and sit on your lap!

WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Diesel Dually was surrendered to WISE when his previous family realized they couldn’t provide the attention he deserves. He’s now ready for a fresh start with a family who will shower him in love!
