WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. 

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

BREED: Miniature Goldendoodle

DOB:Apr 24, 2025 (17 weeks)

SIZE: ~30lbs when fully grown

HOME RECOMMENDATION: Triton is a gentle, sweet pup who is still building his confidence after a tough start in life. He would thrive in a home with another confident dog who can show him the ropes and help him feel secure.

PERSONALITY: Triton is an absolute lovebug! Though he can be a little shy at first, he warms up quickly and loves nothing more than curling up for cuddles. He adores spending time with his people and canine companions and will happily flash you his charming “happy smile” once he feels safe. With his gentle nature and affectionate personality, Triton is sure to win hearts everywhere he goes.

TRAINING: Triton is still learning the puppy basics- he’s working on potty training and getting more comfortable walking on a leash. He’s already doing great at sleeping in his crate through the night. With patience and consistency, he’ll catch on quickly!

WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Puppy mills overbreed to the point where they produce more dogs than they can sell. Dogs like Triton were rejected for reasons ranging from birth defects, being born with the wrong color fur or eyes, or just simply because no one wanted to purchase them. When the dogs are not sold, the puppy mills destroy them, and it is legal to do so. WISE has recently partnered with a group to save these unwanted dogs - healthy, unhealthy, and/or with birth defects - who are destined to be killed for no reason.
