3 months, Female, Small
WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care.
Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.
NAME: Karlie Klaws
BREED: Beagel
DOB: Jul 22, 2025 (11 weeks)
GENDER: female
Home Recommendation: Karlie Klaws would do best in a loving home that can match her playful and affectionate personality. She absolutely adores people and enjoys snuggling on the couch after playtime. Karlie Klaws loves the company of other dogs—she’s become her foster sister’s little shadow—so a home with another friendly pup would be a great fit. She’s very smart and eager to learn. Karlie Klaws will thrive with a family that provides her with plenty of love, attention, and positive guidance as she continues to grow.
KIDS: Yes
DOGS: Yes
CATS: Yes
Training: Karlie is doing great in her crate and continues to make steady progress with leash walking. She’s doing so well with potty training on the wee pads—only a couple of accidents so far! She’s starting to learn to go potty outside. With a little patience and consistency, she’ll have it down in no time!
WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Puppy mills overbreed to the point where they produce more dogs than they can sell. Dogs like Karlie Klaws were rejected for reasons ranging from birth defects, being born with the wrong color fur or eyes, or just simply because no one wanted to purchase them. When the dogs are not sold, the puppy mills destroy them, and it is legal to do so. WISE has recently partnered with a group to save these unwanted dogs - healthy, unhealthy, and/or with birth defects - who are destined to be killed for no reason.
