WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care.

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

Home Recommendation:  Sabrina Carpawter is an active, outdoorsy pup who thrives on fresh air and leash walks. She loves to wander around the yard, sniffing everything and exploring every corner. Once she’s settled in, she transforms into the sweetest little sofa snuggler you could ask for — happy to curl up beside you and soak up quiet moments.

Personality: Sabrina Carpawter is a sweet girl with a loyal streak — the kind who wants to be wherever you are. She’s not quite a cuddler yet, but she’s definitely a little shadow, following you from room to room with curiosity and quiet devotion. She’s also incredibly smart and a bit of a character — she listens well but has just enough sass to keep things fun. She enjoys soft toys, has a great appetite, and is very treat-motivated. With her mix of sweetness, smarts, and spunk, she’s sure to bring a lot of joy and laughter to her forever home.

Training: Sabrina Carpawter is doing wonderfully with her training! She appears to be housebroken — not a single accident so far. She walks nicely on a leash and really enjoys being by your side. She’s currently working on getting more comfortable with the crate, and with a little more consistency and reassurance, she’s sure to get the hang of it.

WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Sabrina Carpawter spent her entire life as a breeding dog in a puppy mill. When her "breeders" decided they no longer had a use for her, they planned to discard her. Thankfully, WISE was able to step in and rescue her, giving her a second chance to experience the love and warmth of a real home. Now she’s ready to start that new chapter!
