Summer had a very rough start. She was seized by animal control in Glynn County after having been left in a crate in 115 degree heat index. She is very shy about new people and new sounds. She is fine with other dogs, but doesn't like cats coming after her, and she will stand her ground against them. She seems more wary of men than women, though our shelter volunteers are working to gain her trust. She gets a little nervous about car rides, too, but probably because she hasn't had someone to take her for doggy cones regularly. She would be a great couch potato for a family with older kids who will give her time to warm up.
