Looking for a new pal … Meet Al! 

Al is a 4 year-old big, handsome guy with an even bigger heart. Once a stray, Al decided that as winter approached, he was ready to leave outdoor life behind and find some warmth for the holidays. He made that wish known by seeking shelter in the basement of one of our volunteer’s family members.

Al is a sweet, shy boy who’s still learning that he’s safe. He’s happiest with a full belly, a cozy spot to relax, and a calm environment where he can feel secure. At a solid 11 pounds, Al is a big mush who’s just looking for comfort, kindness, and consistency.

Thanks to quick action from our volunteer, Al received veterinary care before the holidays. He is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and almost ready to move into a foster or forever home. Since he came in as a stray, we need to assess if he is good with other cats and if he can fully acclimate to being a house cat. While he’s currently being cared for, our volunteer is highly allergic and doing her absolute best—making it important that Al find a more permanent solution as soon as possible.
