Meet Lily — and please read her story 💔
Lily has CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia), a neurological condition she was born with that affects balance and coordination—but it is not painful and it is not progressive. Lily has lived her life just fine with it.
Recently, Lily’s world was turned upside down. Her beloved owner was placed into assisted living, and Lily suddenly lost her person and her home. Confused, grieving, and scared, she began peeing outside the litter box — a heartbreaking but very common stress response in cats who experience sudden change.
Instead of compassion, Lily was brought to a vet to be euthanized for this behavior. Thankfully, the veterinarian refused and a compassionate foster stepped up to help Lily. ❤️
Lily's foster says she is a loving, snuggly friendly cat. Sweet Lily always wants to be near her foster or her partner when they are with her and happily accepts pets. In fact she starts purring when they enter the room she is presently living in.
She needs a patient, loving home where she can decompress, feel safe again, and be reminded that she is loved. With stability and understanding, many cats like Lily improve once their stress is reduced.
If you have room in your heart and home for Lily please fill out an adoption application. Let’s not let her lose hope too.
