Meet Vela, a 2-year-old Husky weighing 45 pounds of fluff, fun, and fabulous chaos. If you’ve ever wanted a dog who believes personal space is optional and kisses are mandatory, Vela is your girl.

Vela is the kind of pup who thrives with room to stretch her legs—she would absolutely love a home with space to run, play, and let loose her adorable zoomies. When she gets excited, she bursts into the happiest, silliest zoomie sessions that are guaranteed to make you smile.

She’s lived with another dog and would do well in a home with a canine companion or dog-savvy cats who understand her playful energy. Vela would also do best with older children who can match her enthusiasm and respect her space when she needs it. She’d love an active family who can keep up with her husky spirit and sense of adventure.

Vela can be a bit wary of men at first, but with patience, consistency, and love, she warms up and shows her affectionate, goofy side. She’s still learning her commands and polishing her leash skills, so she’s looking for someone willing to put in the time and turn training into a fun bonding experience.

The good news? Vela is crate trained and does great being left alone in her crate while her foster parents are at work, settling in nicely and waiting patiently for them to return.

Be warned: Vela sheds like it’s her full-time job. If you’re okay with fur on your clothes, couch, and possibly even in your coffee, you’ll fit right in. In return, you’ll get endless affection, laugh-out-loud moments, and a best friend who will happily cover your face in kisses every single day.
