WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. 

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

BREED: French Bulldog

DOB: May 31, 2023 (2 years 10 months)

Home Recommendation: Tien is a gentle, sweet girl who is still learning to feel safe and comfortable in her surroundings. She would do best in a patient and understanding home that will give her the time and space she needs to come out of her shell at her own pace. Her ideal family will recognize that building trust takes time and will allow her to open up naturally, offering reassurance, consistency, and lots of gentle love. Tien would truly benefit from having another dog in her home. A calm, friendly canine companion could help boost her confidence, provide comfort, and show her the ropes as she continues adjusting to her new environment. Having a buddy around may also encourage her to come out of her shell more quickly and feel more secure in her day-to-day routine. A calm environment will help her continue to grow in confidence and truly blossom into the affectionate companion she is meant to be.

WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Tien spent her entire life as a breeding dog in a puppy mill. When her "breeders" decided they no longer had a use for her, they planned to discard her. Thankfully, WISE was able to step in and rescue her giving her a second chance to experience the love and warmth of a real home. Now she’s ready to start that new chapter!

Personality: Tien is a calm, easygoing couch potato who loves nothing more than lounging and snoozing the day away. She enjoys relaxing in a cozy spot and is happiest when she’s settled in and comfortable. One of her favorite pastimes is chewing on her bully sticks, which keeps her content and occupied. She has a laid-back personality that makes her the perfect low-key companion.

Training: Tien currently sleeps in her pen area, where she is settling in nicely. She is still working on leash walking and will benefit from continued patience and gentle guidance as she builds confidence. House training is also a work in progress, and with consistency, routine, and positive reinforcement, she will continue to make great progress.
