Meet Bear 🐾

Bear is a 2-year-old, 52-pound mixed breed with a constant smile and a personality that's just as warm as it looks. Our best guess is that he's a Black Mouth Cur/hound mix—a combination known for being loyal, intelligent, and devoted to their people.

When Bear first arrived, everything was new and overwhelming. Like many dogs adjusting to rescue life, he needed a little time to find his footing. Fast forward a couple of months, and Bear has blossomed into a friendly, confident companion who has become a volunteer favorite.

Bear walks beautifully on leash, enjoys meeting new people, and has a gentle, easygoing nature that makes him a pleasure to be around. After attending one of our busiest adoption events, Bear emerged as something of an ambassador for the rescue. While the excitement can be overwhelming for some dogs, Bear handled it with ease, happily soaking up attention and charming everyone he met.

Bear is affectionate without being demanding. He enjoys spending time with his people, happily accepts pets, and is just as content joining you on an outing as he is relaxing by your side. He's the perfect mix of laid-back companion and ready-for-an-adventure buddy.
