WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. 

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

Home Recommendation:  

As a young puppy, he requires a home where someone who works from home or is not out for long periods of time.to help her learn and grow. Due to his young age he will need to be fed multiple times a day.

He will thrive with plenty of physical exercise, mental enrichment, and opportunities to explore. He would enjoy having another young, small dog in the home to play with and help burn off some of her puppy energy. A canine companion would be a wonderful match for his playful and social nature. A fenced in backyard would be a dream come true for this playful pup

Like all puppies, he will need patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement as he learns house training, basic obedience, and good manners.

Personality: 

This silly, chubby, sensitive puppy is guaranteed to fill your days with laughter. He has a playful, goofy personality and loves to run, chase toys, and explore the world around him. When playtime is over, his favorite place to be is curled up next to his people for cuddles.

Medical: He will be neutered at approximately 6 months of age

Training: 

He is currently using wee-wee pads when indoors, but like any young puppy, he will need continued house training to learn that potty time happens outside. Keeping him in a puppy pen or other appropriately sized, supervised area when he can't be closely watched will help him stay consistent with his potty routine and set him up for success. He will also need basic obedience training, leash training, and continued socialization to help him grow into a confident, well-mannered companion. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, he will thrive and become a wonderful member of the family.
