WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care.

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

Home Recommendation: Brunson is looking for a loving family ready to help him grow into the amazing dog he is meant to be! He would thrive in a home that can provide plenty of playtime, daily exercise, and opportunities to learn new things. Like all dogs, Brunson will benefit from continued training, patience, and guidance as he builds confidence and settles into his new home. He loves attention, enjoys spending time with children, and has fun playing with other dogs. Whether it's going for long walks, enjoying playtime with friends, or curling up for cuddles after an active day, this sweet boy is ready to find his forever family.

Personality: Brunson is a playful, sweet, and affectionate boy who is a true cuddle bug. He is very curious about the world around him but can be a little shy when meeting new people or experiencing new situations. Once he feels comfortable, his loving personality shines through. Brunson enjoys getting attention from children and loves spending time with them. He also enjoys playing with other dogs and is happiest when he has friends to interact with. Gentle and loving, Brunson is always ready for cuddles, playtime, and companionship.

WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Some large-scale breeding programs occasionally have dogs and puppies they are unable to place due to medical needs, birth defects, appearance differences, or simply because there is not enough demand. WISE partners with groups working to help provide these dogs with a second chance rather than an uncertain future.
