WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care.

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

Home Recommendation: Mitzi would thrive in a patient and loving home with another sweet, confident dog who can help her continue building her confidence and learning about the world. She finds comfort in the company of other dogs and enjoys having a canine companion by her side. Mitzi settles much more easily when she has another dog for reassurance. With a consistent routine, gentle encouragement, and a family willing to give her the time she needs to adjust, Mitzi will continue to blossom into a happy and devoted companion.

Personality: Mitzi is a tiny pup with a huge personality! She is incredibly sweet, social, and loves being around people. She gets along wonderfully with kids and enjoys making new friends wherever she goes. Full of energy and always ready for fun, Mitzi loves to play, explore, and be part of the action. She may be small in size, but she's definitely mighty in spirit and will bring endless joy and laughter to her forever family.

Training: Mitzi is learning new things every day! Like any puppy, she is still working on her basic manners, house training, and leash skills, but she is eager to learn and responds well to patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. She is a bright puppy who enjoys learning and will continue to thrive with a family committed to helping her build confidence and develop good habits. With a regular routine and continued training, she is sure to grow into a well-mannered and wonderful companion.

WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Mitzi was surrendered after their owner experienced medical issues and could no longer care for her. She is now thriving in a foster home and is ready to find the forever family who will love her.
