WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. 

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

HOME RECOMMENDATION: Surf City is a fun-loving puppy who would make a wonderful addition to a loving family! She has a happy, playful personality and gets along wonderfully with dogs and cats of all sizes. She loves to run, play, and explore, but she is always happy to settle in for some cuddles and affection with her people. With her friendly nature and sweet personality, Surf City would make a fantastic companion and is sure to create lots of wonderful memories with her forever family!

PERSONALITY: Surf City is a sweet and affectionate puppy who loves being around her people. She has a loving personality and enjoys getting lots of attention, cuddles, and affection. Surf City is sure to bring plenty of love, happiness, and puppy kisses to her forever family!

TRAINING: Surf City is doing a great job with her crate training and is settling in nicely. She is also making good progress with potty training and learning to consistently go outside. With continued patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, Surf City will continue to make great strides!

WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Some large-scale breeding programs occasionally have dogs and puppies they are unable to place due to medical needs, birth defects, appearance differences, or simply because there is not enough demand. WISE partners with groups working to help provide these dogs with a second chance rather than an uncertain future. We are committed to rescuing and caring for dogs of all kinds — healthy, medically fragile, senior, or those with special needs — and giving them the love, safety, and opportunity they deserve.
