Meet Mooch — Ready to Trade His Mooching Days for a Forever Home! 🐾💙

Mooch is an adorable 8-month-old tabby with a big personality and an even bigger heart!

This handsome boy was found wandering the streets of Thamesford, happily “mooching” off the neighbours until he was brought to safety. He’s now staying at Banner Road Veterinary Services while he waits for the family who will make sure his days of fending for himself are over for good.

Mooch is a friendly, affectionate boy who loves people, attention and cuddles. He’s also a playful youngster who enjoys wrestling with toys, chasing anything that moves and generally keeping life entertaining! He’s even dog savvy and could happily share his home with a canine friend.

Mooch is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and litter trained.

A Special Note About Mooch 💙

Mooch has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). FeLV affects a cat’s immune system, so Mooch will need an indoor-only home, regular veterinary care and a family willing to keep a close eye on his health.

Because FeLV can be transmitted between cats, Mooch should be the only cat in the home or live with another FeLV-positive cat. FeLV is specific to cats, so Mooch can safely live with dogs.

While FeLV may mean Mooch needs a little extra care, it doesn’t change the wonderful cat he is. With a loving, low-stress home and appropriate veterinary care, FeLV-positive cats can enjoy happy and fulfilling lives.

Mooch is sweet, playful, affectionate and very deserving of a family of his own. He’s already done enough mooching around the neighbourhood — now he’d really like a home where he can become someone’s very spoiled boy. ❤️
