Rogue

Bernese Mountain Dog

4 years, Male, Extra Large

Rogue is super loving, happy, playful, sticks to his person like glue. He can be with another dog but would also love being an only dog to get all the attention.
He loves everyone even cats.

Rogue went through surgery January 25th and was found to have a linear obstruction and abscess in his small intestine. The surgeon had to remove 3 ft of Rogue's intestine. This sweet boy would eat but his body couldn't absorb his food leaving this big boy with zero body fat. Rogue has been started on epizyme that is put on his kibble before he eats. This powder helps do the job of the pancreas in breaking down the food so it can be absorbed. It is possible this loving boy will always need the epizyme added to food anytime he eats. Rogue doesn't seem to care as long as he gets his breakfast, lunch and dinner. Because Rogue was so thin, he is fed 3x/day to help put weight back on him. Rogue is an active boy, who loves running and playing which doesn't help his weight gain but also keeps him happy and loving life. Because he loves running we are requiring a fenced yard for him to run in.

Rogue is almost 4yrs old. Neutered and up to date on his vaccines. Anyone interested in adopting Rogue will need to come to Lebanon, Indiana to his foster home to meet him and adopt him.
