Smokey is a sweet, young cat who is very playful and loving. He was found by a firehouse and brought to A Pathway to Hope for rescue. His friendly nature and immediate purrs just go to show how much love this cat has to offer. After rescuing him, we brought him for the routine medical care and discovered that he tested positive for FeLV, but is showing no signs of the virus.  At this point, we believe he just is positive for exposure, not the active virus.  

We are looking to find him a family where he will be the only cat in the home. One thing to know about Smokey is that he is currently being fostered with a family who owns multiple dogs. He is socialized around the dogs and FeLV is not contagious to dogs, only to cats.  Despite this diagnosis, Smokey has remained healthy and has so much love to give!
