Meet Bleu – a gentle 1.5 year-old retriever mix whose story will break your heart. Just days ago, Bleu was living a nightmare. His previous owner, facing eviction, had no choice but to live in a car with Bleu. Struggling to find food and facing neglect, Bleu’s once-bright eyes began to dim.  Bleu has endured so much – inadequate food, missed walks, lack of stability and a profound absence of affection. Bleu’s future is uncertain, and his heart is aching for the stability and love he has never truly known.

Now, this beautiful boy has been given a fleeting chance by a compassionate temporary foster in Jersey City. But that’s not enough. Bleu needs more than a temporary fix. He needs a real family, a forever home, where he can finally know what it’s like to be loved and cared for every single day.

A little bit about Bleu - Bleu is friendly to humans and other animals. He is intelligent, goofy and loving and loves to go on walks and be outdoors. He walks great on a leash and is the ideal family dog. He also has one blue eye which is so unique about him.

Can you be the one to heal his broken heart? Bleu deserves a chance at happiness. He deserves to feel safe, to play, to be loved, and to finally leave his painful past behind.
