4 years, Female, Extra Large

Journey is a 5 year old female BMD weighing in at 80lbs

Things to know about Journey:

-Her ideal home will have another dog who wants to play with her and show her the ropes! She’s not an alpha dog, but does have confidence.

-She likes to be close and receive lots of pets. She hasn’t gotten snuggly yet but with time, she will. She LOVES when you praise her and talk to her. She is the happiest, sweetest girl–always smiling and wagging her tail!

-Said to be good with kids from the previous owner, but there are no kids at the current foster’s home. No cats at her current residence, but seemed disinterested when she saw them.

-She needs a fenced in yard or secure area to go outside on a leash. She is still learning to be a dog who is loved inside a home and may be easily spooked. She absolutely loves to be outside and enjoys the cool weather.

-Doing well with leash training and 98% house-broken. She can be left alone during the workday. She has free roam of the house currently and isn’t destructive. She collects treasures (shoes, toys, etc) to put in her safe place, but she only chews on toys.

-Can sometimes be anxious on a car ride (may drool some)

-Fun Fact: She has black dot in the middle of her blaze and looks as if the animators at Pixar drew a BMD!

Journey is spayed, chipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. If you can give this berner bear a forever home, please fill out an application. She is currently located in Chicago, Illinois and you must travel to her current foster home for a meet and greet and to pick her up.

We are an all volunteer rescue and do our best to get through applications in a timely manner. It may take up to 3 weeks to notify applicants.
