WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care.

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

Home Recommendation: Garland would thrive in a calm and loving home with a family that is around more often than not. She’s looking for a relaxed environment where she can be part of the family and feel truly cherished. 

Personality: Garland is a gentle and sweet cuddle bug. She has a calm demeanor and loves nothing more than to snuggle up with her loved ones and be a part of the family’s daily life. She will easily find a pile olf blankets to make herself comfy in. She is learning the joys of being a dog such as exploring the outdoors and watching movies on the couch!

KIDS: Yes, as long as they are patient with her.

DOGS: Yes! She is currently with one and they are napping buddies. She would do well with another calm dog.

CATS: Yes

TRAINING: Garland is getting the hang of her potty training and sleeps soundly through the night, making her an easy and comforting addition to a loving household.

WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Garland spent her whole life in a puppy mill where she was used for breeding. As soon as she was no longer valuable to their 'breeding program' she was going to be killed. WISE saved this sweet former momma and she has been learning the ropes in her foster home since!
