Meet Ben, another one of our proud graduates of the North Central prison obedience program.  

Ben is a 2 year old Boxer mix who weighs a little less than 50 lbs.   Ben has received 4 months of intensive training.  He knows his 5 basic commands, Sit, down, stay, heel and come and walks great on the leash.  As a young adult, he is very energetic and will do well in a home where he has a lot of space to run around and play. If he was able to, Ben would play all day. He loves balls and is very ball motivated. He may play with some other toys but if its not a ball he may only play with it for a few moments before moving on. He is a quick leaner and listens well. He is a sweetheart with a lot of energy.   He can become a bit too excited during extensive play or during treat time which may result in mouthiness.  His handler reports he has made excellent progress.  When giving treats, a gentle "easy" works well.  Older kids who can learn this technique would be a good fit for this loving boy.
