Nutmeg

Bernese Mountain Dog

10 months, Male, Large

Introducing Nutmeg!

Nutmeg is 9 month old, neutered male Great Pyrenees mix. You may be thinking, “Hey, aren’t you a Bernese Mountain Dog Rescue?” Yep, we are! We thought Nutmeg, his sibling and mama were BMD mixes but DNA says we were wrong! Help us find this sweet boy his forever family!

Nutmeg is goofy, incredibly sweet and a playful guy! He is currently around 100lbs and still growing. His new family will need to work with him on training and building his confidence. A fenced yard is a must for this goofball.

Things to know about Nutmeg:

- He is a very sweet boy. He loves his people but may take time to warm up to new people. He does well with children but should be supervised with littles.

- Say Cheese! Nutmeg knows how to smile on command! When he is feeling silly, he will curl his upper lip and make a smile.

- He is a mix of Great Pyrenees, Cane Corso, Mastiff and a few others. He is going to be a large dog whose future family should be familiar with working with these breeds.

- Nutmeg loves to wrestle and play with other dogs. His new family will need to have a playful dog companion for Nutmeg to gain some confidence from and play with.

- His forever home will need to have a fence. Nutmeg gets very excited when cars or folks go by and a fence will keep him where he needs to be.

- Nutmeg has some insecure tendencies while also wanting to greet every dog he sees. His new family must be willing to work with him on these things and be consistent with training.

Nutmeg is vetted, up to date on vaccines and neutered. He is currently being fostered near Grand Rapids, MI. His new family must travel there to meet him and adopt him.
