WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care.
Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.
NAME: Insta
BREED: Mini Poodle
DOB: Dec 14, 2020 (4 years)
Home Recommendation: Insta will do best in a home where she isn’t left alone for long stretches of time. She’s a Velcro pup who bonds closely with her people.
Personality: Insta may be small, but she’s packed with sweetness—11.5 pounds of pure sugar! She’s gentle, affectionate, and happiest when curled up next to her people for belly rubs. This little lovebug is smart, curious, and eager to please. Insta enjoys being outdoors and soaking up attention, and she’ll quickly win you over with her happy personality. If you’re looking for a constant companion who just wants to love and be loved, Insta is your girl.
KIDS: Yes, above the age of 6
DOGS: Yes
CATS: Yes
Training: Insta is still working on her potty training since she has never been in a home before. With consistency, encouragement, and patience, she’ll catch on quickly because she’s so smart and eager to learn. She’s also practicing leash walking but would rather flop over for belly rubs than stroll down the block! Insta does bark when left alone and benefits from crate training, which helps manage her separation anxiety.
WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE:Insta spent most of her life in a puppy mill being used for breeding. Once her “breeders” decided she was no longer valuable, they planned to kill her. Thankfully, WISE stepped in and gave her the chance she deserved. Now, this little sweetheart is safe, loved, and ready to find her forever home!
