WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. 

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

Home Recommendation: Lola and her best friend Riley are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. These two sweethearts are ready to spend their golden years in a calm, loving home where they can relax, snuggle, and enjoy a peaceful routine.

Personality: Lola is a smart, gentle girl who adores being close to her people. She’s very quiet overall, but she will politely boss you around when it’s mealtime- her favorite time of day. She may be a bit more apprehensive than Riley in new environments, but she settles in quickly once she feels safe. Like Riley, she is low-energy and enjoys a cozy, laid-back lifestyle. Each morning, she and Riley share a short burst of playful fun before returning to snuggles and relaxation. She is affectionate, sweet, and would make a perfect laid-back companion.

Training: Riley and Lola are fully house-trained. At night, they sleep soundly in their dog beds. They adjust well to household routines and enjoy being part of family life.

WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE : Riley and Lola were surrendered after their owner experienced a change in living situation and could no longer care for them. They are now thriving in a foster home and are ready to find the forever family who will love them both.
