Meet Xena!

This gorgeous 4-year-old Chihuahua mix is as sweet as she is shiny — her sleek black coat looks like satin! Xena came to The Canine Collective along with her dad, Bo Bo, and her buddy, Nubbie, after their owner fell on hard times and could no longer care for them.

It’s clear that Xena was deeply loved — she’s friendly, affectionate, and adores attention from everyone she meets. She currently weighs around 22 lbs but will feel her best at about 15 lbs. Her former owner shared that she’s great with people, kids, dogs, and even cats!  She was friendly with the vet during the exam but did not like needles, much like people!

Xena loves car rides, belly rubs, and meeting new friends — she’s not shy and happily soaks up all the love she can get. She's not fond of climbing steps so one level home would be best for her joints.

While Xena and Bo Bo don’t need to be adopted together, they’d make a wonderful duo if you have room in your heart (and home) for two!
