Meet Thor -He is a large male Bernese Mtn Dog. We are looking for a foster-to-adopt home to make sure the home he is going to is a good fit. 
- He loves people, but he might be a bit shy at first, so give him time.  He will come around. 
- Loud sounds scare him, but he is not afraid of storms. He loves going outside in the morning, but he will bolt if not contained, so a fence is required.
- He walks fine on a leash and is learning heel.  He knows sit, downstairs, upstairs, outside, inside, eat, and food. He gets one large milk bone every morning (i.e., a “cookie”) and loves them! 
- He sleeps on a large bed beside his foster Mom's bed, but also likes the tile floor in my bathroom.  (we think if he were invited, he would sleep in your bed.)
- He will chew the ends off the leash, so do not let them lie around. 
- He barks when he needs to go outside or wants to come back in. He does fine not being kenneled when his foster Mom is at work, but she also kennels him, and he likes the kennel. 
- He likes the female dogs, and being around another dog seems to calm him. 
- Thor knows his name, and we would recommend keeping it.  He does great with cats, and he loves to be brushed!.  He does like the cat food, so beware. 
- We believe he would be fine with children.  He interacted with his fosters grandkids - ages 5 and 7, and they did fine.  He was a bit nervous around them at first, but he did start to warm up by the third day. 

Thor is 5yrs & 10 mos old. He is UTD on his vaccines and neutered. He is being fostered near Kalamazoo, MI so anyone interested in meeting him needs to travel there for a meet up.
His future family must travel there to meet him and pick him up, if approved. 

🚗 We do adopt out of state, you must travel to his foster home in Kalamazoo, MI to adopt though.
