Meet Darlie!

Darlie is an 8-year-old miniature poodle mix weighing just 12 pounds. She came to Canine Collective from an Amish breeding situation, arriving frightened and unsure of the world. With patience, safety, and gentle care, this little girl has made heartwarming progress in a short time.

After about six weeks  in a home, Darlie is now comfortable going outside to potty and has learned that kind humans can be trusted. Once she knows you, she allows handling and enjoys being picked up by those who’ve earned her confidence. She’s also discovered a love for Snausages (a girl after our own hearts!) and can use washable pee pads overnight if needed.

Darlie would do best in a calm, patient home and would truly thrive with another confident dog to help show her the ropes. She’d love to be adopted with her daughter Debbie, but it’s not required.
