Meet Bella 🤍

Bella is a beautiful 3-year-old mixed shepherd breed with a gentle heart and the kind of soulful eyes that tell a story. She may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once she feels safe, her sweet and affectionate personality truly begins to shine. Bella forms deep, loyal bonds with her people and quickly becomes a devoted companion. She loves being close and is happiest right by your side, soaking up attention. She has that wonderful “velcro dog” quality — once she trusts you, she’ll happily follow you from room to room just to be near her person.

And once Bella chooses her person… she really chooses them. Lately, she’s decided our male kennel manager is her person — and she’s completely smitten. We’re talking full-on “girlfriend energy” — leaning in for affection, soaking up attention, and making it very clear she thinks he belongs to her. It’s equal parts adorable and heart-melting, and a perfect glimpse into just how deeply Bella loves.

She also enjoys the company of other dogs and seems to take comfort from having canine friends around. Bella is currently building confidence on leash; new things can still make her a bit unsure, but she’s learning quickly and making steady progress every day.We suspect Bella has lived in a home before, as she appears to be potty trained and already understands some of the rhythms of daily life.  Bella made the long journey from Texas to Ohio for her second chance, and now she’s just waiting for the family who will help her feel safe, loved, and truly at home.

She will thrive with a patient, understanding family willing to give her a little time to settle in.
