Meet Maggie 🐾

Maggie is a 10-year-old, ~27 lb long-haired Dachshund mix with a beautiful fluffy coat, soulful eyes, and a personality that will absolutely steal your heart.

Maggie came to Canine Collective after her owner had to move into a long-term care facility. While that change was a big one, Maggie has handled it with so much grace and has quickly shown just what a wonderful companion she is.

She’s the kind of dog people dream about — house trained, kennel trained, and incredibly well-mannered. Maggie loves being around her people and has the cutest little trick: she’ll sit up on her back legs just to ask for belly rubs (and yes, you’ll absolutely want to give them).

Despite being a “senior,” Maggie still has a playful side. She enjoys spending time outside, rolling in the grass, and will occasionally break into the cutest little zoomies. Afterward, she’ll happily trot over for back scratches — her way of saying thank you.

Maggie gets along well with other dogs, would do great with kids, and has that easygoing, loving nature that makes her an easy fit for many homes.

She’s currently carrying a few extra pounds, so a home that can keep her on a healthy routine with regular walks and balanced meals will help her feel her very best.
