WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. 

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

Home Recommendation: Koko would thrive in a home with an active family or a young couple who can help him burn off his energy and keep him engaged. He would do best with people who enjoy daily walks, playtime, and interactive activities, as he loves to stay busy and be part of the action. A home that can provide both physical exercise and mental stimulation will help Koko feel happy, balanced, and ready to relax after a fun-filled day.

Personality: Koko has a fun-loving and affectionate personality. He enjoys spending time in the backyard, running around and soaking up the fresh air, and absolutely loves wrestling and playing with other dogs. After he’s had his fill of playtime, Koko is just as happy to settle in for some quiet moments, snuggling up on the couch and enjoying time with his people.

Training: Koko will benefit from continued guidance and consistency in his new home. He’s eager to learn and responds well to patience and positive reinforcement, showing great potential to pick things up quickly. With a little time and effort, Koko will continue to grow into a well-mannered and wonderful companion. He is both house and outdoor trained. 

WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE : Koko was surrendered after their owner experienced a change in living situation and could no longer care for him. He is now thriving in a foster home and is ready to find the forever family who will love him.
