Meet Jeffrey, a tiny gentleman with the soul of an old man and the title of King. Quiet, calm, and incredibly well-mannered, Jeffrey is the kind of dog who brings a peaceful presence wherever he goes. He kennels beautifully and settles in like a pro, making him an easy companion to have around the house.

Jeffrey gets excited when he sees his person and may offer a little jump of joy, but he is so small you’ll barely notice. He loves human attention, cuddles, and being close to his people. He also appreciates the finer things in life, like a cozy dog bed or, preferably, your bed.

He enjoys lounging outside in the sunshine and taking life at his own pace. He’ll come back inside when he’s ready, but sometimes the sun is simply too good to leave.

Jeffrey can live with cats, especially indoor cats, and does well with calm, respectful dogs who understand personal space. He will not do well with hyper dogs. He would thrive in a home with another laid-back pet or as your one-and-only ruler.

He is a bit of a picky eater and prefers his current diet, often grazing on his own schedule. He’s healthy, maintains his weight well, and simply knows what he likes.

Car rides are another place where Jeffrey’s personality shines. He has no interest in the passenger seat or back seat. Jeffrey believes his rightful place is in your lap, where a king belongs.

One of Jeffrey’s sweetest qualities is how much he loves his foster kiddos. Their arrival home from school is one of the best parts of his day, and his wagging tail says it all.
