WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. 

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

Home Recommendation:  

As a young puppy, she requires a home where someone who works from home or is not out for long periods of time to help her learn and grow. Due to her young age she will need to be fed multiple times a day. A fenced in backyard would be a dream come true for this playful pup

She will thrive with plenty of physical exercise, mental enrichment, and opportunities to explore. She would do best if she had another young, small dog in the home to play with and help burn off some of her puppy energy. A canine companion would be a wonderful match for her playful and social nature.

Like all puppies, she will need patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement as she learns house training, basic obedience, and good manners.

Personality: 

This confident little girl knows exactly what she wants! She is a social butterfly who is always ready to make new friends and believes there are places to go, people to see, and adventures waiting around every corner. She loves to run, jump, climb, and entertain herself with her favorite toys. Her happy, outgoing personality makes every day a little more fun. This little one is too busy playing to sit still for cuddles!"

Training: 

She is currently using wee-wee pads when indoors, but like any young puppy, she will need continued house training to learn that potty time happens outside. Keeping her in a puppy pen or other appropriately sized, supervised area when she can't be closely watched will help her stay consistent with her potty routine and set her up for success. She will also need basic obedience training, leash training, and continued socialization to help her grow into a confident, well-mannered companion. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, she will thrive and become a wonderful member of the family.

Whoopie Cookie was surrendered when his owner experienced medical issues and could no longer care for her.
