WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. 

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

Home Recommendation: Messi would thrive in a loving and patient home that is ready to provide guidance, structure, and plenty of affection. As a young puppy, she is still learning about the world and will benefit from a family committed to continued training, socialization, and establishing a consistent routine. A home where someone is available to help with potty training, basic manners, and confidence-building would be ideal. Messi would do well with individuals, couples, or families who are excited to include a new furry companion in their daily activities and provide the care, exercise, and love needed to help her grow into a happy, well-adjusted adult dog.

Training: Like all puppies, Messi is still learning and making progress every day. She is working on house training, crate training, and basic puppy manners. With consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, she will continue to build confidence and develop good habits. Messi is eager to learn and would benefit from a family that is committed to continuing her training and helping her become a well-mannered, happy companion. Every day brings new accomplishments, and she is excited to keep learning alongside their future family.

WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Some large-scale breeding programs occasionally have dogs and puppies they are unable to place due to medical needs, birth defects, appearance differences, or simply because there is not enough demand. WISE partners with groups working to help provide these dogs with a second chance rather than an uncertain future.
