WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care.

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

Home Recommendation: Bella would thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can feel secure and close to her favorite people. She loves to cuddle and will happily follow her person from room to room, making her an excellent companion for someone who enjoys having a loyal shadow by their side. Because sudden noises and busy environments can make her uncomfortable, a peaceful home in a quiet town or neighborhood would be ideal. Bella would do best with a patient adopter who can provide a predictable routine, plenty of affection, and a low-stress environment where she can relax, build confidence, and enjoy being part of the family.

Personality: Bella is an affectionate dog who forms strong bonds with her people. She loves to cuddle and be close to those she trusts, often following her favorite person wherever they go. Her loyal nature makes her a devoted companion who is both comforting and dependable. With the people she loves, Bella is happiest when she can spend time nearby, sharing affection and enjoying companionship.

Training: Bella is both indoor and outdoor trained. She enjoys spending time in the backyard and is happiest when she has access to a safe outdoor space where she can explore, relax, and take care of her bathroom needs. Her preference for being outdoors can make maintaining a potty routine easier, especially in a home with a fenced yard. She also loves to go on walks. With consistency and positive reinforcement, Bella is eager to continue building on the habits she already knows.

WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Bella was surrendered after their owner experienced medical issues and could no longer care for her. She is now thriving in a foster home and is ready to find the forever family who will love her.
