Beach Haven

Boston Terrier

2 months, Female, Small

WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care.

Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.

NAME: Beach Haven

BREED: Boston Terrier x Shih Tzu

DOB: Jun 14, 2026 (10 weeks)

GENDER: Female

HOME RECOMMENDATION: Beach Haven would do best in a loving home that is ready for all the fun, energy, and learning that comes with having a puppy. She is playful and would thrive with a family who can give her plenty of attention, playtime, and opportunities to explore. A home that is patient and committed to continuing her training will help Beach Haven grow into a happy, confident, and well-mannered companion.

PERSONALITY: Beach Haven is an adorable, playful little girl with a fun and goofy personality. She loves chasing toys around and especially enjoys a good squeaker toy! When playtime is over, she is more than happy to curl up on your lap or settle at your feet for a cozy nap. She is very playful with kids and other dogs!

KIDS: Yes

DOGS: Yes

CATS: Yes

TRAINING: Beach Haven has already conquered some stairs and is continuing to learn and explore new things. She is still working on her leash skills, but she is sure to be a fun-loving companion who will enjoy making memories with her forever family. Beach Haven has been surprisingly wonderful with her crate training! She may take a few minutes to settle in, but once she gets comfortable, she settles down and goes to bed. She is even sleeping through the night! She is doing well with potty training at home and is learning to consistently go outside. She has had no accidents in her kennel overnight and continues to make great progress.

WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Some large-scale breeding programs occasionally have dogs and puppies they are unable to place due to medical needs, birth defects, appearance differences, or simply because there is not enough demand. WISE partners with groups working to help provide these dogs with a second chance rather than an uncertain future. We are committed to rescuing and caring for dogs of all kinds — healthy, medically fragile, senior, or those with special needs — and giving them the love, safety, and opportunity they deserve.
