Meet Bruno!

Sometimes the sweetest dogs just need a little extra time to show you who they really are, and Bruno is living proof of that! At 6 years old (born September 25, 2020) and just 28 pounds, this little guy has a big personality and an even bigger heart.

When Bruno first arrived at the rescue, he was extremely fearful and unsure of his new surroundings. Trust didn’t come easily, but with patience, kindness, and a little extra love, Bruno has made incredible progress. What was once a frightened little boy is now blossoming into an affectionate, playful companion!

Once Bruno knows you’re his friend, get ready for lots of love! He enjoys cuddling, giving kisses, going for walks, and spending time with his favorite people. He loves being outdoors, running around the play yard, and showing off his adorable zoomies! After some fun, he’s just as happy to curl up beside you and enjoy some quiet time.

Bruno previously lived with a family and was very attached to them. He loves being included in family activities and enjoys car rides and adventures. He can be protective of his home and may bark when unfamiliar people arrive, but with a little time to warm up, his sweet personality begins to shine.

Bruno is crate trained and has previously lived with other dogs. He enjoys companionship and would love a home where he receives plenty of affection and attention. Because he can be energetic and jump when excited, a family with older children or children who are comfortable around dogs may be the best fit.

One of the most rewarding things about Bruno is watching him learn to trust again. Every wag of his tail, every playful zoomie, and every moment of affection is a reminder of just how far he’s come.

Bruno’s perfect family will understand that love and trust take time. He may need a little patience as he adjusts to a new home, but once he feels safe, you’ll discover a loyal, loving little companion who just wants to be part of the family.

At 6 years old, Bruno still has plenty of adventures ahead of him, and he’s ready for the next chapter of his story -a forever home filled with love, patience, and companionship.
