Introducing Mia, the epitome of sweetness! With her laid-back personality and love for belly rubs, Mia is sure to steal your heart. This affectionate girl cherishes every moment of snuggle time and delights in showering her humans with love and affection. Mia is not only a great listener but also aims to please, making her a joy to have around. Plus, she's already housebroken and walks like a dream on a leash, making outings a breeze. After dedicating herself to her pups with unwavering attention, Mia now deserves all the spoiling in the world. As a typical Husky, Mia needs a family that has experience with the breed to ensure she thrives in her new home. Bring this sweet girl into your family, and watch as she fills your life with endless love and happiness.

Mia's story:  We were contacted about a 20-month-old Siberian husky, Mia, who was living outside in South Carolina, destined to give birth to yet another litter of puppies outside. Mia gave birth on a cold, rainy day before we reached her. Amazingly, all six puppies DID survive, and came the long journey to New Jersey into the arms of a loving foster family and many devoted volunteers.

But, Mia’s fight was not over. A few days after rescue, in just a matter of hours, Mia went from happily taking a walk with new friends and playing with her toys, to barely lifting her head. We rushed Mia to the hospital, where she was found to be suffering from mastitis Mia was hospitalized  twice and finally released from the hospital to be reunited with her babies! She ran to them, cleaning them and lying with them, and it was clear that they had missed her desperately.

It was a harrowing few weeks, but Mia and her puppies settled into a comfortable schedule as they grew more active and ready to find forever homes, and Mia learned what it was like to be a carefree, beloved husky pup! Mia will never again be alone, giving birth in the rain, desperately trying to protect her babies. Mia and her puppies found the care they so deserve, thanks to the power of rescue.

 So, you want a husky?

Siberian Husky Club of America shares the following:

“Siberians are a gregarious lot and need the company of other dogs or of people at all times. If you work all day, or have room for only one dog . . . don't adopt a Siberian.

While capable of strong affection for his family, the Siberian Husky is also very friendly with strangers. So, if you want the fierce loyalty of a one-man dog . . . don't adopt a Siberian.

At least once a year Siberians shed their coats. If you like fur all over the house and in the very air you breathe, then fine. If, however, you value neatness at all times, then . . . don't adopt a Siberian.

Siberian Huskies have a natural proclivity for digging holes in backyards. If you take great pride in your landscaping efforts . . . don't adopt a Siberian.

Of all the shortcomings to be found in Siberians, the most dangerous to the pet owner is their tremendous desire to RUN. A Siberian, for his own protection, should be kept confined or under control at all times. If you think it is cruel to kennel a dog, or keep him confined in his own backyard . . . don't adopt a Siberian.”

If you are interested in adoption, please visit apathwaytohope.org! Please note that our husky pups will only be placed in homes with dog experience.
