Ares is an almost 2 year old Bernese Mountain Dog who is 80ish lbs.  Ares needs to be the only dog in a house and wants to be your ride or die BFF. Ares is a super sweet guy who loves to cuddle with his people. He is 75% chill and 25% play. He is a Chatty Cathy, vocal boy. Ares doesn't bark, but likes to have a conversation with his people. 

Ares has some joint issues that he has been treated for and will likely need to take supplements for the rest of his life. He has had 2 elbow surgeries and will likely need to use a ramp when he gets older to get in and out of a car. For now, his joints aren't stopping this guy! He is all legs and loves to get belly rubs!

Things to know about Ares:

- He needs to be the only dog in the home. This is an absolute necessity for him. Ares can resource guard some of his favorite toys from other dogs, so he will do best as the only dog.

- Ares needs a fenced home. He still gets uneasy around loud noises outside, so a fences yard is best. 

- He will need a home with kids 12 and up who have been around dogs in the past. 

- He loves head scritches, treats and soft toys-squeaky ones are his favorite! He can be left home uncrated for a few hours at a time. 

Ares is , chipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. If you can give this sweet boy a forever home, please fill out an application. He is currently located near Toledo, OH and you must travel to his current foster home for a meet and greet and to pick him up.
