Do you remember Rogue from earlier this year? This sweet boy is ready for adoption! Rogue came to us back in January with an obstruction in his intestines. He was skin and bones and underwent life-saving surgery to remove part of his intestines. Thanks to our wonderful supporters who helped to fund his medical care, Rogue is doing so well and is looking to find a home!

Rogue is a 3.5 year old male BMD who is about 85 lbs. Are you looking for an active, yet laid back pup to take on adventures and maybe a beer garden in the summer? Rogue might be your guy! He has mastered the "Berner Lean" (IYKYK) and loves to chase a ball. He walks well on a leash and does not require a fence. Do you love food? So does Rogue. He will bounce 4 feet off the ground when his food is being prepared. He is so well mannered that after he gets his hops out, he will sit and wait to be released to eat his food.

Things to know about Rogue:

- Rogue is a happy guy. He likes other laid back dogs, but may prefer dogs who are smaller than him. He loves all humans, but may knock down a little human when trying to lean on them for pets. Rogue would be happy as an only dog, too.

- He does not require a fence but also likes to run around in a fenced yard to play. He loves to chase a ball and would be great in public places.

- Rogue can be left alone for up to 6 hours, but prefers to be near his people. (Don't we all!?) He routinely needs to be let out once during the night but he is such a gentleman, he will bark and let you know when its time.

- This guy will likely need to be on medication for the remainder of his life due to his medical past. Rouge is fed 3x a day to ensure he is getting the proper nutrition his body can absorb. None of this slows him down! The rescue is happy to discuss more about the medication and costs with a potential adoptive family.

- He is s high-stepping, bouncy boy. Rogue has recently discovered a creek and loves to swim!! He loves his daily walks and exercise.

Rogue is neutered, chipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. If you can give this cutie a forever home, please fill out an application. He is currently located near Indianapolis, IN and you must travel to her current foster home for a meet and greet and to pick her up.

We are an all volunteer rescue and do our best to get through applications in a timely manner. It may take up to 3 weeks to notify applicants.
